Be of Good Comfort

Matthew 9:22- " Daughter be of good comfort for your faith make you whole."

This is a story we are all familiar with. Its a story of such a great faith. In Matthew 9: 20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said,“your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

I know as Christians we go through times where it seems like theres nothing anyone can do. Even the God of the universe. Yes we know that nothing is impossible with him but that doesn't even matter to us. It never crosses our mind. We pray and ask God to do this and that.
The Bible also tells us in Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
I know that we just expect God to answer our prayers. Thats us doing our part right? Not necessarily. In this story here in matthew 9, the woman had been bleeding for 12 years. 12 years is probably not even half of our lives. This woman knew that if she could just touch, just brush the hem of Jesus' garment she would be healed. She had such faith. She didn't know if by doing this it would happen but she believed, she had faith. She was healed instantly.
This story is so encouraging to me. We may not need a physical healing, maybe its a spiritual or emotional or mental healing. maybe theres a relationship that needs to be healed.   If you just have faith and reach out, God will do it.
It takes great faith to say, "You know what devil, youve lied to me long enough. God is a just God and he is not a man that he should lie. So im gonna step out in faith and believe God for this." And After you do that its not gonna be easy. It's gonna be rough. The devil is gonna attack you like youve never been attacked before. But with God you can overcome it and get that blessing or healing you need.
I hope this was an encouragement to you today!

God Hears

God Hears

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

A lot of times in life we are faced with tribulation. We go through things in life and we get to the place where we get tired. We get weary, we want to give up completely. So we fall to our knees for awhile. Our feet get tired of walking this journey of life. So we sit down.
It even gets to the point where we think God don't care about us. He doesn't hear our prayers. It seems like we've cried out and cried out but we get no answer.

A lot of people think being a Christian is easy. We don't go through things were Gods favorites. Life as a Christian to the world is boring and you cant have any fun and its an easy life. Ehhhh! Wrong!

Yes as Christians we have fun. I think sometimes we have more fun then the sinner has. But just because we are living our life for the creator doesn't mean its perfect.

You see, because when God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross, Jesus called out and said Father if there be any way possible could you get me out of this? Because I don't think I can do this. But if you cant then I understand.

You may be facing a giant or many today. You know, the Bible says that everything we've gone through Jesus knows did too. EVERY LITTLE THING!!

He knows how you feel. At times when you think no one sees those tears you cry at night. No one knows how youve poured your heart out to God. Asking him why you have to go through this? Why did He do this?

God hears! But more importantly then that... God UNDERSTANDS!
You see, he sent his son. His ONE AND ONLY SON. To die on the cross for you. Because God knew that we couldn't take on our own sins.

I know as Christians we are supposed to just give everything over to the Lord. I mean he tells us in his word, "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
But its not that easy. It sounds great right?!
But instead we go to the altar and cry and lay everything there for him. Then on our way out we say ok Lord Im just gonna take this back. Im just gonna hold onto this for a little while longer.

A lot of times thats where we go wrong the most.
We grip and complain about how we cant handle our burdens and trials. Instead of trusting God and saying Ok Lord Here it is. I realize I cant handle this on my own! I need you to intervene. I.. TRUST YOU!

Thats one of the hardest things to say and do.
But thats the only way we will every get past anything.
:) Look God loves you. He hears you cry's and he's saying just give it all to me sister!
Trust God even we times are tough! Things will look up!

Overcoming Temptations

1 Corinthians 10:13 -  No test of temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down, he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; He'll always be there to help you come through it.
-The Message Translation

As a teenager I know first hand what we are tempted with. Adults say that they know what we are going through, They were a teenager once to. But the truth is, that things are different now then they were then. Yes, of course they might have had the same temptations. But the teen drug addiction/teenage pregnancy/alcoholic/ suicidal rates in teens are going up. I know what your thinking... I am not a statistic!
I refuse to be.
But when it comes down to the situation will you be able to say no?
Or will you just give it one try?
One hit never hurt anybody, or one drink never caused any problems. How about this one... But I love him and I want to show him that.
Most of the time when it comes down to it, we cant say no. We want our friends to think we are cool. We love him so we want to show him how much we truly are dedicated to him.
I think for girls that is the biggest temptation we have.. We are taught as girls that all guys are after one thing and one thing only. Sex.
Oh yes girls I just brought that up. But I have a question for you..
Is this guy really worth giving yourself up to him physically, sexually, and emotional?
If you answered yes, then you must be really in love with him.
But is he as in love with you as you are with him?
I mean he tells you that he loves you. That he wants to be with you the rest of your life. TOGETHER FOREVER!! Ahhhhh!!
Just what we want to here. The promise that they love us and that our fairytale will come true. As much as the truth of it hurts..
They don't love you and you probably wont be together forever.

The Bible says that we are not supposed to have premarital sex. Im in the same boat. I struggle with this everyday. I really do love my boyfriend. And if He loves me as much as he says he does then he will wait for me. But sometimes flesh overtakes and my hormones rage to have him. and to please him.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is a faithful God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bare.
It also goes on to say that Even when we are tempted that God always provides a way out. It is up to us to take that step toward getting out of that temptation.
So no matter what your mind says to do. Listen to your heart and the Holy Spirit will guide you.

God IS faithful! He will always provide a way out. So in time of temptation, look for him. He will make a way.
- Cierra Hudgins
Ps. Jesus loves you and Everything will be ok. Your gonna make it through! I promise. Keep your chin up and remember that You are the daughter of the most high!

One Generation

Psalms 145: 4-5 says  '' One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of your glorious splendor of your majesty- and I will meditate on your wonderful works."

A lot of adults under estimate us kids. They don't realize that God has called each of us to do something for his kingdom. The Bible says in Matthew 19:14 " Let the CHILDREN come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Our world today is full of sin. From drugs to premarital-sex, and even to abuse in anyway.
I believe with all my heart that this generation will do great and mighty acts.
Its time that as teenagers and young adults we stand up and take a stand for Christ. He was willing to die on the cross so we would have the freedom to tell the world about our Lord and Savior. So why don't we get up and not be ashamed of the Gospel. We are living in the last days. Jesus is coming back soon to take his bride. And If we don't do our job as Christians then on judgement day we will stand before the Lord with their blood on our hands.
I want you to take a minute and close your eyes. Just think about it for a minute.
There you are standing there before the One and Only, the Alpha and Omega. The creator of the Universe and He says My Child, why didn't you tell them? Why didn't you tell them of my love for them. and what my son Jesus, did for them? Why? And there you are with blood dripping from your hands. Drip Drop, Drip Drop! What are you going to say? How are you going to explain to him why you didn't tell them?
Or here is another instant and if you haven't watched this video I highly suggest you do- A letter from hell(Youtube or Godtube).
You and your Best friend, you've know him since kindergarten. He knew you were a Christian. He even brought it up a couple times a day but you alway changed the subject. One day on our way home You and your buddy are in a fatal car accident. But guess what? You make it through. but Your friend doesn't . As your sitting there in your hospital bed, you start to hear screaming. Someone is screaming your name, its your friend and he has something to say. He starts asking you why you never told him about Jesus. He says he got up to the pearly gates and they pulled out the book of life but his name wasn't there. These dark angels appear and start dragging him to hell. He feels it getting hotter, and hotter, and HOTTER. The screaming is unbearable to hear. Then finally SILENCE! He says he brought it up like 3 times that day but you just pushed it aside like it was nothing.  He then starts to freak out, he says theres footsteps and there getting closer and closer. and then this dark figure is standing there before him and they are taking him to hell.. He wants to know in his final moments before he hits the fire...WHY DIDNT YOU TELL HIM ABOUT JESUS?!!
Intense huh? Think about it?
How many of your friends or even family members who aren't saved? Maybe they know who Jesus is but never got to know him personally. or maybe they have never heard the story.

Will you decide to sit back or will you decide to tell them about Jesus Christ.
Its time, as a generation we step and be the Christian we are called to be.
The Bibles says in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."
This is OUR CALLING!

Will you answer the call?
