God Hears

God Hears

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

A lot of times in life we are faced with tribulation. We go through things in life and we get to the place where we get tired. We get weary, we want to give up completely. So we fall to our knees for awhile. Our feet get tired of walking this journey of life. So we sit down.
It even gets to the point where we think God don't care about us. He doesn't hear our prayers. It seems like we've cried out and cried out but we get no answer.

A lot of people think being a Christian is easy. We don't go through things were Gods favorites. Life as a Christian to the world is boring and you cant have any fun and its an easy life. Ehhhh! Wrong!

Yes as Christians we have fun. I think sometimes we have more fun then the sinner has. But just because we are living our life for the creator doesn't mean its perfect.

You see, because when God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross, Jesus called out and said Father if there be any way possible could you get me out of this? Because I don't think I can do this. But if you cant then I understand.

You may be facing a giant or many today. You know, the Bible says that everything we've gone through Jesus knows did too. EVERY LITTLE THING!!

He knows how you feel. At times when you think no one sees those tears you cry at night. No one knows how youve poured your heart out to God. Asking him why you have to go through this? Why did He do this?

God hears! But more importantly then that... God UNDERSTANDS!
You see, he sent his son. His ONE AND ONLY SON. To die on the cross for you. Because God knew that we couldn't take on our own sins.

I know as Christians we are supposed to just give everything over to the Lord. I mean he tells us in his word, "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
But its not that easy. It sounds great right?!
But instead we go to the altar and cry and lay everything there for him. Then on our way out we say ok Lord Im just gonna take this back. Im just gonna hold onto this for a little while longer.

A lot of times thats where we go wrong the most.
We grip and complain about how we cant handle our burdens and trials. Instead of trusting God and saying Ok Lord Here it is. I realize I cant handle this on my own! I need you to intervene. I.. TRUST YOU!

Thats one of the hardest things to say and do.
But thats the only way we will every get past anything.
:) Look God loves you. He hears you cry's and he's saying just give it all to me sister!
Trust God even we times are tough! Things will look up!

Overcoming Temptations

1 Corinthians 10:13 -  No test of temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down, he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; He'll always be there to help you come through it.
-The Message Translation

As a teenager I know first hand what we are tempted with. Adults say that they know what we are going through, They were a teenager once to. But the truth is, that things are different now then they were then. Yes, of course they might have had the same temptations. But the teen drug addiction/teenage pregnancy/alcoholic/ suicidal rates in teens are going up. I know what your thinking... I am not a statistic!
I refuse to be.
But when it comes down to the situation will you be able to say no?
Or will you just give it one try?
One hit never hurt anybody, or one drink never caused any problems. How about this one... But I love him and I want to show him that.
Most of the time when it comes down to it, we cant say no. We want our friends to think we are cool. We love him so we want to show him how much we truly are dedicated to him.
I think for girls that is the biggest temptation we have.. We are taught as girls that all guys are after one thing and one thing only. Sex.
Oh yes girls I just brought that up. But I have a question for you..
Is this guy really worth giving yourself up to him physically, sexually, and emotional?
If you answered yes, then you must be really in love with him.
But is he as in love with you as you are with him?
I mean he tells you that he loves you. That he wants to be with you the rest of your life. TOGETHER FOREVER!! Ahhhhh!!
Just what we want to here. The promise that they love us and that our fairytale will come true. As much as the truth of it hurts..
They don't love you and you probably wont be together forever.

The Bible says that we are not supposed to have premarital sex. Im in the same boat. I struggle with this everyday. I really do love my boyfriend. And if He loves me as much as he says he does then he will wait for me. But sometimes flesh overtakes and my hormones rage to have him. and to please him.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is a faithful God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bare.
It also goes on to say that Even when we are tempted that God always provides a way out. It is up to us to take that step toward getting out of that temptation.
So no matter what your mind says to do. Listen to your heart and the Holy Spirit will guide you.

God IS faithful! He will always provide a way out. So in time of temptation, look for him. He will make a way.

Ps. Jesus loves you and Everything will be ok. Your gonna make it through! I promise. Keep your chin up and remember that You are the daughter of the most high!
